Anti-Spoofing tool is in development

One of the biggest issues in the game is coming to an end shortly as tons of GPS Spoofers have been abusing the game for far too long. Niantic has finally began creating a tool to stop spoofing all together. This spoofing tool should help solve the high level gyms from being taken down by somebody whose not actually near the gym.

One of the biggest issues that caused a’lot of players to leave the game was spoofing, which allows a player to play the game from the comfort of their home. Which the game is intended for you to go out and play the game, even during winter time. Now winter is over and we’re moving into our summer days shortly, so hopefully players won’t feel the need to spoof anymore either way.

Spoofing is generally done by an alternate program that’s emulates an android phone, which is highly bannable in-game. We encourage all players to report these spoofers who take down gyms and make them nearly impossible to battle afterwards.
